About Our Slides, Pictures, Negatives Transfer Service
Slides, pictures and negatives are all transferred
manually. Pictures may be scanned a few at a time. Slides and negatives may be done in batches, but require manual cropping,
color correction and inversion (in the case of negatives). We use a high resolution scanner to obtain a sharp image and good
color reproduction. However, this service is time-consuming and additionally, slides are often put into order while being
transferred. This is the most time consuming step for our scanning services. Because of the volume of the typical slide transfer
job (often hundreds or thousands of slides), scanning services typically require much more time than our other transfer services,
even once they are started.
Slides, Pictures & negatives transferred On-Line or CD are organized as they were given
to us or requested (event, carousel, album, etc.) and are individually labelled. Slides Pictures & negatives transferred
to DVD are set up with basic transitions and personalized music. DVD chapters are set up according to how the job was organized
and includes individual labelling.
Jobs that are
not being transferred are stored safely in individual plastic buckets off the floor in our climate-controlled office. Jobs
in progress are kept together with labels.
